Talk through the design
Rachel follows up by email or text, your choice, to talk through materials and details. A $25 deposit, applied to your final price, starts the design.
Your heirloom is handmade
Once you approve the design, Rachel handcrafts it around real Potomac River pottery or glass, typically in 7–14 business days.

What if I’m not sure what I want yet?
That’s perfectly fine. Share whatever you have in mind, even just a color or an occasion, and Rachel will help guide the design.
What can a custom piece include?
Custom designs start with river-found pottery, river glass or both. They can add semi-precious stones, pearls, charms, birthstones, initials or meaningful symbols, in gold, silver, beaded or pearl finishes.
How much does a custom piece cost?
It depends on the design and materials. The request form offers budgets of under $75, $75–$125, $125–$200 and $200+, and Rachel designs within the range you choose.
Can you make a memorial or remembrance piece?
Yes. Choose “A memorial or remembrance piece” on the form and share as much or as little as you’d like.
How long does a custom piece take?
Custom pieces typically take 7–14 business days, depending on the design, material availability and the season. If you have a date in mind, add it to the form and Rachel will let you know what’s possible.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. A $25 nonrefundable deposit begins the design process and is applied toward your final price. Because each piece is unique, the final price is set once the design and materials are chosen. The balance is due when you approve the design, before your piece ships.
Can I return a custom piece?
Custom and made-to-order pieces are final sale and can’t be returned or exchanged for a change of mind. If anything arrives damaged or incorrect, contact Rachel within 48 hours of delivery with photos. Returns policy.
